Copeland Spode Gone Away Herring Fox Hunt Porcelain Covered Serving Dish, 1932

Copeland Spode England Covered Serving Dish "Gone Away" Pattern. It has Spode's "Royal Jasmine" pale yellow glaze which was introduced in 1932. The back stamp provides much information about this Fox Hunt Themed Set: From the Original Drawings by J. Herring, Sen, in the Possession of the Copeland Family, Kibblestone Hall, Stone Staffs.

The drawings on the lid are identified under the lid as "Leaping the Brook 5" and "The Meet 6". The scene on the casserole's dish is not identified. With lid in place, it measures approximately 5 1/2. The platter is approximately 14" x 8". The pieces are in good condition with no chips or cracks.

A fun piece to own for a collector of Spode or a Huntsman.
